Purpose of this Library
This website provides examples of survey items, scales, and other types of measures that program directors and evaluators may find useful when assessing the efficacy of interventions in the biomedical and behavioral sciences (BBS) and the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. These “interventions” could include training programs, undergraduate research experiences, or other opportunities for undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, scientists, and faculty to learn skills and knowledge that support them in their BBS and STEM careers.
How to use this Library
Click on the MEASURES LIBRARY button or MEASURES tab to access and search the measures.
Filters are a broad categorization of measures, and provide information for quick navigation and choice of measure. The target population of the measure, the focus of the assessment, whether it is a self-reported measure or assessed by another, and whether the measure has been validated or not are all filters that can be used to quickly scan the library for measures that fit your research needs.
Unlike filters, tags specifically categorize measures based on area of interest and the interventions measured. Examples include: career intention, self-efficacy, teaching practices, satisfaction.
